We had visitors and received gifts while we were at the hospital.
Of course, Hoot and Honey had to get pictures with their first grand baby!
I didn’t do a very good job of making sure we got pictures with everyone… but, here are the ones we did get!

Great Aunt Jennie came to the hospital in the middle of the night and stayed for hours. She was super tired, and had to take her grand kids back to Oklahoma City the next morning, but she was there for us! And of course, she couldn’t wait to hold baby Barrett.
Sweet Kya got to meet Barrett while she was staying at her Mamie’s! She was great with him and made us the sweetest sign with his picture and a poem on it.
But then, when everyone else left, it was just mommy, daddy, and Barrett for the first time.
And daddy stepped right up and changed one of the first diapers like a pro!
He was so tiny! and not really a fan of having his picture taken…
It took lots of team work and discussion to decide what Barrett should wear.
I think they are smitten….
and of course it took teamwork to get him into the clothes we finally decided on…
As I mentioned before, Barrett had quite a bit of trauma to his poor little body after delivery. We had to stay at the hospital an additional night so he could be monitored just to be safe. He had a large area of pooled blood on the back of his head where they had to use the vacuum, so they wanted to watch and make sure it was healing well. But, finally we were able to go home. 🙂 So back to the dressing teamwork for Barrett’s “going home” outfit.
and then it was time to load up….
Headed home… it looks like the baby isn’t in there, but he is!!! He’s just so tiny 🙂
and then we were a family of three!!
