I finally had my sweet baby boy baptized. I have been meaning to call the church and get it scheduled for several months now… and I would always remember Sunday morning when we got to church – not good timing! But I finally remembered! 🙂 Like I’ve said before… I used to be so organized..,
Barrett has been teething and a little fussy, so I was really nervous about how he would behave – but he was absolutely precious! He loved Gary and really checked out the church from the front. He looked at all the people and took it all in. He was THE CUTEST.
He went right to Gary… (which I was nervous about)
and he didn’t even freak out when he baptized him.
He pointed at all the people while they were walking down the isle…
and we had lots of family there to celebrate with us.
After he baptized him and took him on a walk down the isle, he handed him back to me. Barrett pointed at Gary and grunted at me – he wanted Gary back! And of course he got his way…
Isaac transferred his membership to Victory Memorial United Methodist Church too.
Before the service, I was asking Gary if there was anything we needed to know or be prepared for and he said “No, I will just ask you all a couple of questions, and you will answer, then I will baptize Barrett. Then, I will ask Isaac one more question, he will answer, and then he will recite the ten commandments.” The look on Isaac’s face was pretty priceless…
Obviously he did not actually have to recite anything… but, leave it to Gary to joke about it!
We love our church and all of the support we receive from it and its members. Gary has been there for several special moments in our lives – he married us, and now he baptized our baby boy – both in this beautiful sanctuary I have so many memories in.
After church we went to Hoot and Honey’s house for lunch. Barrett got lots of attention and I managed to get a few precious pictures of him. I cannot believe he is getting so big.
I love this little boy with every bit of my heart and then some…

We had a girls night(day) pool party that evening. Since Barrett has been teething, he has been pretty fussy, so I wasn’t sure how he would be, but he had fun! I didn’t get a whole lot of pictures…. but I thought this one was pretty funny. He just “chilled” in his floatie!
He checked out the other kids that were there… and he talked and interacted a little… but he pretty much just hung out with mommy! He has been such a daddy’s boy lately, that I took what I could get!
This little man sure has changed our lives, and we wouldn’t want it any other way!
