We had a great Christmas with lots of friends and family. It’s so weird how much things change when you have a child who is able to enjoy the festivities. I remember when I couldn’t wait for Christmas to give people gifts and see what I would get. This year it was all about Barrett. Last year he was too little to know or care what was going on. But he really took it all in this year. Now, don’t get me wrong… I love Christmas for lots of reasons but this year was just extra special. I really felt in the spirit and so very blessed!
He took in every detail for a while at the candle light service on Christmas Eve.

Then, he got a little restless… Good thing for the “child friendly” service!

We had dinner and then went to Memes to open our stockings.

Barrett got a battery operated toothbrush that he absolutely LOVED! I don’t think he moved anything but his arm and the toothbrush for 10 minutes!

After that he was a wild man!

Then Barrett put on his Christmas pajamas and we went to Hoot and Honey’s to open presents.

He tried to take ornaments off the tree and played with the paper mostly … 🙂

But he also did a little phone-talking in a box!

And we had to play in the tent for a while…

We didn’t go to bed until after 1 so I didn’t know how Barrett would be the next morning, but he was all smiles!!

I can’t believe how much he has changed in the last year. He is so big!

Santa brought Barrett a kindle fire for kids  and he was pretty impressed.

And we opened presents at our house…

Then it was back to Meme’s for Christmas Day fun.

We had lots of fun family time 🙂

Hoot and daddy had just as much (or more) fun with Barrett’s kindle as he did.

But Barrett’s late night started to catch up with him and he had to have a little rest.

Our family is so very blessed. Merry Christmas!
