There are still times I cannot believe we are having a baby. I mean, I know we are… but sometimes I just cannot believe it. Isaac and I have finally been discussing baby names a little. Granted, he is usually still playing a game on his phone while we talk, or engrossed in golf on TV – but I’ll take any progress I can get. I believe we are narrowing it down… so maybe we will have a name to announce soon!
The last few weeks have been busy, as usual. Isaac has been working crazy hours and has been supposed to work several nights, but because of the weather he has gotten to come home early each time. I am thankful for that because I wasn’t too excited about him being gone all night.
My cousin Lacey and her kids came one weekend and we celebrated Tanna and Traden’s birthdays. It was a good weekend – we played at the park, dyed Easter eggs, and just had good family time we had all been missing. Lana is Lacey’s oldest and she actually likes to talk baby names with me; but the other two just want to call him “Baby Alien.” – They are so silly. I was so glad we got to see them!
Then, last weekend was my friend Alyssa’s bridal shower and the first official “cookout” weekend of the year. There were three cookouts – got the summer kicked off right. We enjoyed spending time with lots of friends and family.
A group of girls and I are leaving tomorrow evening after work for Alyssa’s bachelorette party in Amarillo. We have a fun weekend planned and can’t wait to make it super special and memorable for her.
The coming weekends are going to be busy also. Next weekend is not only Easter but also my brother Braxton’s 21st birthday. I can’t believe my baby brother is going to be 21. I’m sure it’ll be a fun celebration and I cannot wait to see him. 🙂
We are so beyond blessed to be having a sweet baby boy and to be surrounded by the wonderful friends and family we are. Life is good.
